Our integrated capabilities are designed to solve the problems others shy away from – those that seem out of reach, too complex, or too critical to fail.
Our clients trust Citadel Edge to keep them ahead of the curve. With a proven ability to deliver transformation, we make their world safer, smarter, possible. Whether it’s navigating disruption, accelerating innovation, or unlocking potential, we are the partner that makes a real difference.
We believe ambition is the spark that drives transformation. We operate at the edge of possibility. At the intersection of vision and execution. At the forefront of what’s next.
At Citadel Edge, we make ambition possible. That mindset has fuelled our evolution and is still our driving force today.
The foundation of Citadel Edge traces back to the late 1990’s when Mark McConnell and other ex-military officers were delivering services to Defence and Government clients in Canberra through Frontier Group and Jakeman Business Solutions. They began partnering in 2000, and in 2007 they officially joined forces to form The Citadel Group.
In 2008, The Citadel Group acquired ServicePoint, renaming it Citadel Technology. This team continues to provide cutting-edge services to the Health, Education and Defence industry sectors.
The Citadel Group successfully listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX:CGL) in 2014, and we continued to grow organically and through acquisitions such as Kapish, Gruden and Noventus.
In 2020, we moved into a new era of private ownership with the backing of Pacific Equity Partners (PEP). Under PEP’s guidance, Citadel continued supporting government and private sector clients while investing further in health software.
In 2023, we launched a new company under the Magentus brand, uniting our three health software divisions into a global health-tech leader in enterprise-scale pathology, radiology, oncology, and practice management software.
Two years later, we evolved again, transforming our enterprise software and technology arm into a bold new brand. Citadel Edge.
Born from the merger of Frontier Group and Jakeman Business Solutions
A leading Australian private equity firm with a strong track record in tech, education and healthcare. Under PEP, Citadel Group continued to grow and service clients across government and industry
Citadel Edge undertakes a number of environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives. These matters are important for our customers, our employees, our investors and other stakeholders, and should serve as a point of reference for our suppliers.
